failure to synchronize table changes with tibbo client

Developing on TPB2L, library version2.1.2
added a MANIFOLD table for device information per the limited documentation available but if I change anything via the aggregate client I get:
Synchronization Error: Table hashes are different after a full replace operation, local hash: -333452929, remote hash: 3362138

I put debug messages for callback_table_modified
callback_tbl_modified: MANIFOLD
callback_tbl_modified: Tmp
callback_tbl_modified: Tmp
callback_tbl_modified: Tmp
callback_tbl_modified: MANIFOLD

no callback_tbl_error calls
no callback_tbl_failed_to_open calls
no callback_tbl_field_error calls

How can I tell whether this is a client or server error?
