Stream Device

Postby viokast&yahoo.gr » Thu Feb 09, 2017 12:24 pm

I can see in the Device types a type called "Message Stream".

In the description in the manual, it is described as a device that sends a string to the scada,
and once this device is connected the scada starts listen the incoming data.

My question is how long this stream can be (how many characters or bytes),
and
how we can reply back to this device.

And also, what is the tag count for such a stream.

Hi Nikolas,

My question is how long this stream can be (how many characters or bytes),
the length is limited only by performance of your server.
and
how we can reply back to this device.
We can't do it inside Message Stream Driver.
And also, what is the tag count for such a stream.
Amount of tags depends on amount of expressions, you're going to use for parsing.
