SCADA capabilities of the AggreGate BMS enable it to manage internal and external lighting by modeling and scheduling the custom illumination scenarios. Near-real-time orchestration can be conducted by a central server via the IP network. Decentralized controller-based field-level logic is not required nowadays.
Power Management
While the AggreGate capabilities span up to managing a smart grid, it perfectly covers the energy usage optimization, a crux of every building automation project. The same approach of vendor-agnostic control and monitoring via standard communication protocols is used.
IT Infrastructure Management
AggreGate Network Manager can operate within the BMS, providing unparalleled flexibility for managing and monitoring the active network devices, servers and applications, VoIP, IP cameras, security devices, and other IT infrastructure components. No other BMS/SCADA system in the world can offer anything similar.
Web Client
In addition to a desktop multi-server Unified Operations Console application, AggreGate Building Automation system includes two versions of the web UI: a Java-based browser application capable of running even the HMI Builder, and a pure-HTML5 web client that can run all HMIs and dashboards on devices that don't have Java support, such as Android and iOS smartphones.
Maintenance Integration
In addition to the internal storage and processing logic, AggreGate Building Automation software can forward all collected and locally generated events and incidents to any third-party helpdesk/maintenance software that implements flexible handling and debriefing workflows.
Smart Metering
Having serious references in the Automatic Meter Reading and Advanced AMR fields, AggreGate Building Automation system solves the tasks of technological and commercial accounting for water, gas, electricity, and other consumables. The BMS features a direct support for widespread smart meter protocols, such as Meter-Bus and DLMS/COSEM.
Water/Wastewater Management
AggreGate BMS can manage the water supply even in complicated cases, including multi-level pump stations in high-rise buildings. See the Water/Wastewater Management section for more information.
Based on M2M Platform
AggreGate BMS is built atop of a mature and powerful AggreGate Device Management Platform. It inherits all technological benefits of the underlying framework, including open-source APIs, failover clustering support, distributed architecture, and more.
Innovative Technology
The AggreGate Internet of Things Platform's patented technology introduces many innovations to the industrial automation domain. The system core has an integrated support for the home-grown device data normalization method, two-way device synchronization which substitutes simple polling, device data caching and other advanced operations.
Linux BMS
AggreGate is a cross-platform BMS which can be installed on the Linux servers and even under Mac OS X. The system preserves 100% of its functionality when working under non-Windows operating systems. It can also communicate with the Windows-based OPC servers via a network using DCOM technology.
Wide Protocol Support
AggreGate BMS supports most widespread industrial control protocols out-of-the-box, including Modbus, OPC, BACnet, SNMP, and many more. The drivers for PLCs which use other protocols can be easily designed using the open-source Driver Development Kit (DDK).
Alarming and Event Processing
Advanced expression-based alerting with a hysteresis (deadband) support. Event correlation and value flapping detection. Alert acknowledgment and escalation rules. E-mail, SMS, popup, sound, and other notifications. Automatic and interactive corrective actions. Flexible event processing chains and long-term storage.
Visual HMI Builder
The integrated HMI Builder supports combining the grid and absolute layouts inside different containers within one widget, allowing building very complex equipment control screens. More than 100 component types are supported, including container components, such as Tabbed Pane or Split Pane.
Charting and Trending
Dynamic chart library supports more than 25 chart types, exposing thousands of configurable parameters for setting up axes, series renderers, legends, titles, gridlines, crosshairs, etc. The trends of different types can be added, including linear, exponential, moving average or percentile.
Statistical Process Control
AggreGate BMS can store the long-term time series data in a round-robin database (RRD), providing the extremely compact storage and fast access to historical values. Never seen in other BMS systems, this feature can help with deep data analysis, such as triggering an alert when a daily channel average significantly exceeds its yearly average.
Live Project Editing
Unlike traditional BMS, AggreGate has no difference between the development and runtime environments, and no "projects". All development and administrative operations are performed remotely on the production server via secure network connections. Simulation devices, change history tracking, database backups, and optional failover servers keep the operations safe.
Scripting and Querying
Despite the system is tailored for visual operations, it has a strong support for both server-side and HMI-side scripting. The scripts are written in a pure Java language exposing all system libraries to a developer. Plus, AggreGate BMS has two domain-specific languages: a query language for data mining and an expression language for building the alert triggers, event filters, etc.
Task Scheduler
All system actions supporting an unattended mode can be executed according to a simple or advanced schedule. The simple schedule ensures that the job is executed every N seconds, while the advanced schedule allows fine-grained planning, such as "Every 3rd Friday of May, at 11.30 pm, during the years 2018-2025".
Reporting
Any type of license allows creating an unlimited number of reports. The report source data can be extracted by an expression or query, but the report template generator can create a report template from any tabular data in just two clicks. Moreover, the templates can be fine-tuned or created from scratch in the embedded Report Editor.
SQL Support
AggreGate BMS stores both configuration and trend values in an SQL database to ensure the uniform data access. Most enterprise-grade databases are supported, including MySQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and others. The trend data storage is fully configurable in terms of sampling the periods and storage duration.
SCADA Symbol Library
The installation bundle includes a large library of dynamic automation symbols in the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format. The library is divided into multiple categories, like tanks, valves or pipes. All symbols support on-the-fly manipulations, such as changing colors/strokes, zoom and rotation, starting/stopping animations, and manipulating individual elements (e.g., tank levels).
Open-Source SDK
AggreGate Server provides the open-source APIs for Java and .NET. These APIs allow a full remote control of the server and access to all the server/device data from any third-party application. It's also possible to create new device drivers and data processing/presentation plugins. In addition, the AggreGate Server can be controlled via Web Services.
Flexible Security Model
AggreGate IoT Platform establishes a serious security infrastructure for the AggreGate BMS by providing a flexible role-based access control. In addition, all communications between the server, operator workstations, HMIs, and third-party systems are performed via SSL-secured connections.
From Intelligent Building to Smart City
